Quantity Surveyor

Kenham Building Limited is a thriving Construction Company in the London and looking to expand their team. They are looking to recruit an experienced Construction QS who can come on board and enhance their existing team of professionals,

As a quantity surveyor, you'll need to:

  • prepare tender and contract documents
  • prepare bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client
  • undertake cost analysis
  • assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies
  • perform risk, value management and cost control
  • advise on a procurement strategy
  • identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks
  • prepare and analyse costings for tenders
  • allocate work to subcontractors
  • provide advice on contractual claims
  • analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports
  • value completed work and arrange payments
  • maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use
  • understand the implications of health and safety regulations.

Site Mangers & Project Managers

We are a General Contractor based in South Kensington with a reputation for delivering quality residential and commercial refurbishments and builds to high net worth clients. We are looking for skilled, experienced Site Managers to join our team.

We are a small, close-knit team and company is growing rapidly so there is huge scope for career promotion and progression.

You will take full ownership and responsibility for your site in Central London / suburbs, and will work with the Project Manager to deliver the project to cost, to budget, and of course to the highest possible quality. You will be given a lot of independence and will be expected to show initiative and strong management skills.

Your roles will include:

  • Managing all sub-contractors and ensuring their work is carried out safely and correctly
  • Attend all site meetings with project management and the design team
  • Identify and purchase all relevant materials or specialist sub-contractors for direct works
  • Oversee all Health & Safety on site
  • Make sure all site regulations are met and liaise with building control
  • Liaise with the Project Manager to:
  • Discuss any outstanding issue for information required
  • Coordinate and plan the Programme of Works
  • Assess any contract variations and valuations

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years as Site Manager working on contracts in the region of £1m - £5m
  • Good technical knowledge of all relevant trades - specifically demolitions & structure, mechanical & electrical, all finishing
  • SMSTS
  • A fluent level of English
  • Good computer skills
  • First Aid (3 day)
